Gamify My Academy

On September 2-3, 2023, VMS and D*Code Laboratory co-hosted a hackathon for AU students at TrueLAB, Vincent Mary School of Science and Technology. The event aimed to kickstart SwiftUI development to make student life fun with the theme "Gamify My Academy"

In this event, Ayyada Kriangkaisak, a WWDC 2022 winner, gave a tutorial on SwiftUI to all participants. Additionally, Voraruethai Chancharung, a VMS alumnus, shared her experience as a newly-joined professional data analyst.

Forty participants, mainly first- and second-year students, gained a boost dose of SwiftUI in a day. They formed eight teams, brainstormed, and built demo apps. It was amazing to see how quickly they learned SwiftUI in such a short time. The winning team got a cash prize as a token of appreciation. The event successfully encouraged participants to pursue further app design and development studies.
